=============================================================

During a youth Q&A session at a recent Week Long Advanced Retreat, a member of our community asked me something with real urgency in his voice.

“I really feel the emotion of my future in my meditations,” he said. “But – how do I lose it so quickly once I open my eyes? I mean – it’s gone. And I have to work really hard to bring it back. Why does that happen so fast?”

Of all the ways to answer this question, there’s no more powerful or instructive example I can give than the people who’ve healed themselves through this work. What I’ve learned from years of witnessing their transformations – and interviewing them to find out what they did – is, there are two main reasons they come back to their meditations again and again.

The first reason has to be stated in terms of what it it’s not. People who are deeply immersed in this work are not primarily doing their meditations – some of them three or four times a day – to heal.

They’re doing their meditations to change.

They’ve grasped something profound: Before we can realize any external goal – restored health; improved finances; a new relationship – we must first understand that nothing can change in our life … until we change.

And when we have overcome and transformed ourselves, the “side-effect” of that transformation can produce desired outcomes. That’s how so many people have healed – not by asking, “Why hasn’t it happened yet? Why aren’t I healed?” But by first asking: “What do I have to change about myself to heal?”

Refraction and Reaction

The second reason so many people return to their meditations is to temper their emotional refractory period. That sounds clinical and complex, but what it means is this. When we’re exposed to an external stimulus that triggers a stress response, we have a reaction … and it’s often a habitual, automatic reaction tied to our old stories and our old self. We’ve forgotten ourselves – and who we want to become. We’ve gone unconscious.

When this happens, we’re filled with doubt – because our habitual reactions pull us out of the present moment and back into the emotions of our past. All of a sudden, our belief in our new future is shaken – and we lose our belief in our ability to create meaningful, lasting change.

People who’ve overcome themselves in this work understand this. And when they sit down for their meditations, they do so with the intention of not getting up until they’re once again feeling the feelings of their future.

Put simply: they’re not doing their three or four meditations a day to heal. They’re doing them to remove their doubt that they can heal.

Remembering and Reconnecting

So what do we do when we have the same experience as that young man I was talking to a few weeks ago? When doubt starts to take over – and we realize we’re seeing things through a very narrow lens? When we go unconscious and forget ourselves?

Once we’ve caught ourselves in a reaction, we’ve achieved something important: we’ve become aware of what we’re doing. With kindness and love, we can remind ourselves of what we already know – but had allowed ourselves to forget.

When we realize we’ve defaulted to an old emotion, one that’s correlated with everything known in our environment, we can name that emotion – doubt – and resolve to get back to our feelings of our future. To practice feeling those elevated emotions until our belief in that future is restored.

And so, like the many people who’ve achieved miraculous transformations, we go back to our meditations. We sit down with the intention of not getting up until we’re feeling the emotions of our new future.

I believe we are eternal. Thus, in the expanse of eternity, on the journey back to source, I think that when it’s the hardest, it matters the most. By overcoming ourselves, mastering the moment, and recalibrating our nervous system to coherence and order, we’re literally changing our destiny. Now, the intention to self-regulate becomes more about who we are on the journey than about the circumstances at hand.

In this way, meditation is no longer about performing the act just for the act itself. It’s no longer about trying to bring about a desired outcome. It’s about staying conscious – and not going unconscious the moment we arise. It becomes about remembering ourselves.

Our lives are filled with so many external stimuli; so many internal alarms that may sound and set off a reaction. We all react – but we can work on the strength and length of those reactions.

So – we don't work on shortening our refractory period just because we want to be emotionally intelligent. We work on it because the emotions of stress are signaling the same genes that cause us to disconnect from the future.

It becomes a practical application. We go back to our meditations again and again – not because we want to heal, but because we went back to our old self. Because we understand that before we can heal, we have to change.

When we tune in to the feelings of our future, and we can stay in those feelings, then we’re connected to that new future. We actually believe in it. Because we’ve overcome our doubt, we’ve become our belief, and we’ve remembered what’s possible. And in doing so, we’re remembering our future.

You are Not Alone

Stop Waiting for Perfection, Just Do It!

You don’t need to be perfect to launch, or to start.

A lot of people, especially new Internet marketers, they wait until everything is perfect before getting started.

I need to learn this, I need to finish that, I need to complete this, and on, and on, and on…

All you need to do is get to a point that is good enough… if it is good enough to launch, launch!

Image
Don’t wait for it to be perfect, because the truth of the matter is it will never, ever be perfect.

Even after you launch it, and you think it is perfect, something always comes up that need to be fixed.

A great example of “good enough to launch” is the software companies.

How many times have Microsoft launch a new version of Windows and then they keep coming out with patches, after patches, after patches to fix things?

You might say “Why don’t you wait until it’s perfect before launching it?”

See, it will never be perfect… If we wait for it to be perfect, we would be still waiting for Windows right now.

“Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence”
-- Vince Lombardi

Tesla is another example, it was good enough to launch, and now they come out with updates each and every week for there cars.

If you wait until things are perfect to do it, you’ll be waiting forever.

Happy New Year 2010

Air Commodore Anup was a Jet Pilot. In a combat mission his fighter plane was destroyed by a missile. He however ejected himself and parachuted safely. He won acclaims and appreciations from many.
After five years one day he was sitting with his wife in a restaurant. A man from another table came to him and said "You're Captain Anup! You flew jet fighters. You were shot down!"
"How in the world did you know that?" asked Anup.
"I packed your parachute," the man smiled and replied.
Anup gasped in surprise and gratitude and thought if parachute hadn't worked, I wouldn’t be here today.
Anup couldn't sleep that night, thinking about that man. He wondered how many times I might have seen him and not even said 'Good morning, how are you?' or anything because, he was a fighter pilot and that person was just a safety worker"
So friends, who is packing your parachute?
Everyone has someone who provides what they need to make it through the day.
We need many kinds of parachutes– we need the physical parachute, the mental parachute, the emotional parachute, and the spiritual parachute.
We call on all these supports before reaching safety.
Sometimes in the daily challenges that life gives us, we miss what is really important.
We may fail to say hello, please, or thank you, congratulate someone on something wonderful that has happened to them, give a compliment, or just do something nice for no reason.
As you go through this week, this month, this year, recognize the people who pack your parachute.
 *I just want to thank everyone who packed my parachute this year one way or the other*- through your words, deeds, prayers etc!! Don't want to take any of you for granted .
From the bottom of my heart with all my love ❤
Wishing you a pleasant and a memorable end to 2017 and an awesome beginning to 2018

Good Morning Email Messages !!
Good Morning Email Message !!

A BIG reason why people struggle to reach their goals is because they keep stopping. Stopping, and then starting over. Or stopping and switching companies. Leap frogging from place to place. There's no commitment. It's like being in a car with faulty GPS. You just keep going around and around in circles but never getting anywhere.

Stop Stopping. Decide where you ARE going to go and commit to getting there.

Good Mornng !! Don’t forgive them

Forgive others not because Not because they deserve Forgiveness but Because you Deserve Peace.

If you don’t forgive somebody, you will keep thinking about them all the time.
Is it really easy to hold on to anger towards somebody? My goodness, so much energy of ours gets wasted in it. Do you know why you forgive others? It is for your own sake.

Read the story below =>
Two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey, they had an argument and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand:"Today my best friend slapped me in the face."They kept on walking, until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:

"Today my best friend saved my life."The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?"The friend replied, when someone hurts us we should write it down in sand, where the winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.

Good Morning .. You Become What your vision is

Your body is exactly like a movie projector, and the film running through the projector is all of your thoughts and feelings. Everything you see on the screen of your life is what has been projected from within you, and is what you have put into the film.
By choosing higher thoughts and feelings you can change what you see on the screen at any time. You have complete control of what goes into your film!

Break through all the barriers and feel that you Are Blessed. This Is the One and Only Step You Have To take - the rest will all happen.

Thanks a lot!!

Very Good Morning .. It is Luck or Destiny

Good Morning Email Messages .. Luck or Destiney
Add caption

Q: Shall I blame our luck or destiny if something bad happens to me?
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar:
Why do you want to blame? Tell me!
If something bad has happened, learn a lesson from it. Everything that has gone wrong has made you stronger, deeper somewhere. It has contributed to your personality, isn't it? So be thankful, and move on.
See the past as destiny, future as freewill, and live in the present moment. This is intelligence.
If you do it the other way around, i.e. if you think the past was freewill and keep regretting it, and if you think the future is destiny and you are slack in your action then you will be miserable in the present moment.

Very Good Morning .. Types of Questions to be Asked

Questions Inspiring Good Morning Email Messages
Hi,

Following conversation is Awesome & Inspiring .. What type of questions are asked? and how to respond them? ... EnjoYYYYYYYYYYY

Q: Guruji, I usually feel complete only when I am in a relationship. How do I overcome this tendency because I suffer?

Sri Sri Well, this is very difficult. When you are in a difficult state, then any advice appears to prick you like thorns, and nothing really makes much sense. You have simply asked a question; we sympathize with you. You know, there are five types of questions that people usually ask.
Whenever anyone is miserable, they repeatedly ask this question, ‘Why me? Why this suffering for me? Why is God so unfair to me? I am so miserable’, etc.
When someone is in such a state, even if you try to tell them anything, they will behave as if they are deaf. They will not listen to you.
Have you had this experience with people at home? When elderly people are very unhappy, they ask questions, but any answer you give them, they look somewhere else. They do not take your answer at all. So people who are miserable have a question inside them. In such a case, it is better that you keep quiet.
The second type of question is the one that people ask when they are angry. They will ask, ‘Why this injustice towards me?’ They are very logical, but they are angry. So they also have a big question. Again, there is no point answering them.
The third type of question is asked by people who already know the answer but still want to ask. They do this to check out whether you also know it or not. They will ask you questions like, ‘Tell me what has been said in the third stanza of so-and-so Upanishad’. They do this to check out if you know or not, although they know the answer.
The fourth type of question is asked by people who simply want to make their presence felt. They will stand up and ask you the question, and when you start answering the question sincerely, they will start doing something else. They are least bothered about your answer. They just stood up and made their point, so that everyone notices that they are there, and that you also know that they are there.
The fifth type of question is asked by people who sincerely want the answer; and they know that you know it. They will take the answer you are going to give them. See, there is no point in someone asking a question without their believing that you know the answer.
Say you are from North Carolina, and someone asks you, ‘How long will it take to travel to Rayleigh?’ You will know the answer. So when they ask the question, they know for sure that you know the answer, and they ask this with the sincerity of getting the answer. This is the question that is worth answering. For the other four types of questions, simply respond with a smile. And that smile should be a measured smile. You should not give the same smile for all the four questions.
For the first type of question, the smile should be just a little, like 2%. When someone is miserable, do not give a big smile, otherwise you will get something ‘big’ in return as well (laughter). When someone is angry, then your smile should be just 3%, or so. Your smile should convey an innocent sense of ‘I do not know’. But for the third and fourth type of question, you can smile a little bigger.
